In 1986, the mare Yathreb gave birth to her last foal, her Straight Egyptian bay colt by Shaikh Al Badi. He was named Ibn Yathreb to honor his dam. She was imported by Bentwood Farms in 1978 from Egypt. Yathreb was by Seef out of Hebah, a Ibn Hafiza daughter from the Riyala branch of the Rodania family.
Shaikh Al Badi was sired by Morafic, top Egyptian sire in the US in the 60's and 70's.
Ibn Yathreb was exported to Germany in 1993 where he was standing at the Arabian farm of Walter Letsch and family. There is produced FL Sayawan who was exported to UK in 2006 and successfully shown there. Later sold to Saudi-Arabia, FL Sayawan is his most producing son.
With a heavy heart, Ibn Yathreb was put to rest at the stud farm of the Letsch family in 2013.
