The grey mare HS Temptation Eyes was foaled in 2004 and bred by Linda Pizzonia.
Known affectionately as “Flower” in the barn, she quickly became a favorite for her combination of refined type and athletic presence. Originally bred and raised in the U.S., she entered the European breeding scene when imported to Germany by Black Smoke Arabians.
HS Temptation Eyes was sired by the late grey stallion A Temptation (1995–2016, by Tempter out of A Love Song by *Bask), one of the most accomplished performance Arabians of his generation in the United States. His record includes U.S. National Champion titles in Pleasure Driving (2005) and English Pleasure (2002), U.S. National Reserve Champion Park Horse (2006), and multiple other major wins. He was also an exceptional sire. By 2020, A Temptation had sired more than 260 foals, passing on his athletic ability and distinctive style.
HS Temptation Eyes' dam, the chestnut mare MMA Diamond Dawn (by Hucklebey Berry out of Diamond Lillie by *Bask), adds further depth to this heritage. Through her female line, MMA Diamond Dawn traces directly to Jurneeka, the celebrated dam of the legendary Khemosabi, himself U.S. and Canadian National Champion Halter Stallion and National Champion Western Pleasure. Her tail-female line belongs to the Saklawiyah Al Abd strain descending from the legendary desert war mare Wadduda.
Appearing five times within her pedigree through both sire and dam, *Bask provides HS Temptation Eyes with a tightly woven link to one of the most important Polish sires of halter and performance champions in the United States.
Her record in the show ring reflects this heritage. As a young mare she captured Junior Bronze Champion Mare at the Orientalica Show in 2011, signaling her early promise. She matured into an even more impressive senior mare, earning Senior Gold Champion Mare at the Kauber Platte Championships in 2015. That same year she also became German National Silver Senior Champion Mare, a title she repeated again in 2018, cementing her reputation as one of Germany’s most consistent and admired show mares.
As a broodmare, HS Temptation Eyes has produced several foals registered in Germany for Black Smoke Arabians. Her offspring include the grey stallion BS Flower Power (2013, by B.S. Beethovenn), grey mare BS Grace (2014, by Marcus C), chestnut stallion BS Scaleri (2016, by Le Createur), chestnut stallion BS Magny Cour (2017, by Eklipse O), and bay mare BS Last Flower (2020, by Eklipse O).
BS Last Flower was her final foal for Black Smoke Arabians as she was exported to Qatar in 2021.
