In 1980 the Polish bred mare Emisja foaled a grey filly at the Polish State Stud of Michalow. She was named Emigracja. Emigracja was by Polish National Champion stallion Palas, an Aswan son born at Tersk and imported to Poland in 1973. Palas' dam was Panel, a Nil daughter which made Palas carring a lot of Egyptian blood. Although he produced no chief sire, his daughters became valuable broodmares. Palas was standing at stud in Poland until he was sold in 1990 to Brazil.
Emigracja's dam Emisja was born in 1974 at Michalow Stud. She traced from the famous E-family. Her sire was Carycyn, a grey Comet son, who was exported to the US in 1974 where he sired more than 100 foals.
As a 10-years-old Emisja was named Polish National Champion mare. By winning that title she qualified for the World Championships in Paris the same year. Unfortunately, Emisja would not survive the trip to Paris as she contracted pneunomia from which she died. Emisja only left 3 foals, two fillies (Emigracja and Ewita) and a colt.
Luckily, her daughter Emigracja matured into a treasured flea-bitten grey broodmare of dry desert type who founded her own family, producing 14 foals during her breeding career.
Among those foals were three full-sisters by Polish chief sire Eukaliptus that should be mentioned here first: Emanacja, Emigrantka and Erlanda.
Emanacja was Polish National Senior Champion Mare as well as All Nations Cup Champion Mare. She was also a splendid broodmare producing World Champion Mare Emanda, US National Champion Stallion Emanor, European Senior Champion Mare Emilda or Espandrilla (dam of World Bronze Champion Stallion Equiborn K.A.).
Her older sister Polish National Senior Champion Mare Emigrantka was the dam of European Champion Stallion Emigrant who was chief sire at Michalow, Janow Podlaski and Bialka Stud until he died in 2019. She was also the dam of Multiple halter champion El Dorada.
The youngest of the trio -Erlanda- is best remembered by her last born daughter Elandra who was sold for $290,000 at the Pride of Poland 2005 auction to the US where she was named Grand Champion Mare at the US Nationals in 2007. Erlanda untimely died at the age of 6 by food poisoning which killed several other mares at Michalow.
Besides these three daughters Emigracja produced by Eukaliptus, Emigracja was bred two times to Monogramm which resulted in two more daughters: Emocja (dam of Ejrene, Emiliusz or Wels International Gold Champion Stallion Epressivo KA) and Etenta (dam of HS Etiquette).
Despite her daughters hold her heritage high, Emigracja's sons were not significant. With Grandorr, she produced Ezef who was gelded and with Laheeb she brought Edward who has no known offspring.
Emigracja gave birth to her last foal in 2005 (El Kahira by Piber). Three years later, she died at the age of 28.
