Elstera was a grey daughter by Ibrahim. Ibrahim was born in 1899 in the Syrian desert and was acquired by Count Potocki in Odessa, Russia. Over Turkey (Constantinople), Potocki sent him to his Antoniny stud in Poland.
Through Ibrahim, Elstera was a paternal half-sister to the famous Sworonek (x Jaskolka II).
Elstera's dam was Lezginka, a daughter by the desert imported stallion Obejan Szarak. Legzinka was the dam of further three registered foals. Her son Ganges I was the sire of Derby Winner Hardy and her daughter Kalina - full-sister to Elstera - was the dam of several influential horses like Dzwienna (dam of Piolun and Roszmaryn) or Floks (sire of the mare Elsissa).
Her last foal was a stallion by Koheilan I born in 1934. Her exact date of death is not known. Elstera herself produced ten registered foals. Her most influential son was Flisak who was Polish Derby winner in 1927. He was later used as chief sire at Janow Podlaski between 1931 and 1940. Flisak's whereabouts after WW II is not known. He probably was lost during war.
Another offspring of Elstera was the grey mare Ikwa born in 1927. Ikwa was an excellent race horse. She was raced 6 times and won every race. She was also a Polish Derby winner. Ikwa left 2 foals (among them Obra, the granddam of Naborr) before she came to Tersk in Russia in 1939. She left no foals in Russia.
Elstera's last foal was a stallion by Koheilan I, born in 1934. Her exact date of death is not known.
