EO Rhaisuli Ibn Shadwan was born in 2003. He is sired by Classic Shadwan, a Straight Egyptian son by Alidaar. Alidaar, bred by Russell and Mildred Jameson in the USA, was a grandson by Morafic.
Classic Shadwan, a grey stallion, was out of Shagia Bint Shadwan, who was born in 1978 in Egypt and later exported to Germany. Through Classic Shadwan, EO Rhaisuli Ibn Shadwan is a half-brother to German National Gold Champion Stallion GR Amaretto and Mangalee Ibn Shadwan who both received the Golden Ribbon at the German Stallion licensing.
EO Rhaisuli Ibn Shadwan's dam was Barbariska, a Straight Russian bred daughter by Balaton. Balaton is considered 'The Horse of the Century' through his breeding performance. Barbarika's dam was Bissekritsa, a Pesniar daughter, who was broodmare at Tersk between 1985-1990, then sold to the Netherlands in 1993. Bissekritsa's dam-line traces to Russian Oaks winner and race performer Sapina (Arax x Solianka II). Sapina traces to the French import Sapine who came to Tersk in 1930.
From his Russian heritage, EO Rhaisuli Ibn Shadwan inherits the powerful, elastic movement for which those bloodlines are renowned, while his Straight Egyptian heritage lends him the classic Arabian type and refinement.
He sired eight registered foals, five fillies and three colts of which one colt was still-born. EO Rhaisuli Ibn Shadwan was gelded after 2014.
