The mare Dafina was bred by Marbach state stud. She is out of Marbach's broodmare Dukna who is a granddaughter of Dschadaah, the only Marbach bred mare that became World Champion mare in Paris in 1986.
Dschadaah left the mare Dschihan in Marbach who is the dam of Dukna as well as of the stallion Dschehim. Dschehim was well trained in dressage and was also standing at Marbach stud before he died untimely in 2016. Dafina's sire is Amurath Muntahi, a son by Amurath Baikal and so carries on the bloodline of Bask.
