About Pinga
Bred at Janów Podlaski, one of Poland’s renowned Arabian horse state studs, Pinga was a shining example of the excellence of the Polish breeding program.
Her sire, Gazal Al Shaqab, is globally celebrated for producing horses of exceptional type and charisma, including legends such as All Nations Cup Champion Marwan Al Shaqab and World Champion Mare Pianissima. Gazal’s influence brought refinement and a modern type to Polish bloodlines, and Pinga embodied this blend to perfection.
Pinga’s dam, Pilar, contributed an equally illustrious heritage. A daughter of the Polish National Champion Fawor (by Probat), Pilar represented the pinnacle of the Polish breeding program, emphasizing athleticism, soundness, and the classic Arabian type. Pilar herself was a proven broodmare; in addition to Pinga, who became the World Gold Champion Mare in 2012, Pilar also produced Pinta, the 2007 Polish National Reserve Champion Filly. Pinga's maternal lineage includes her granddam, the exquisite mare Pipi, a Polish National Champion Filly. Pipi's dam, Pilarka, was the 1983 World Champion Senior Mare and a cornerstone of the 'P' family. Notably, Pilarka appears in Pinga’s pedigree as the ancestor of the iconic Pianissima.
Pinga herself was earned a lot of halter show titles including 2010 Polish National Champion Mare, All Nation's Cup Silver Champion Mare and World Gold Champion Mare Paris, 2012. Beyond her remarkable show career, Pinga was a successful broodmare. Among her offspring are Piast (by Enzo), a stallion now standing in the UK; Piniata (by Eden C) and the full siblings Pistolero and Petula (by Kahil Al Shaqab).
Pinga’s reputation extended internationally, leading to her being leased to breeders outside Poland, including in the United States and Saudi Arabia. However, the demands of extensive travel may have taken a toll. In March 2021, while on lease to Cedar Ridge Arabians, Pinga tragically passed away from unsuccessful colic surgery at the age of 17. Her loss marked another profound blow to the distinguished 'P' family, following the earlier losses of Pianosa and Pianissima.
