Gamilla

Gamilla was a grey Arabian mare, foaled at Medicom Arabians in Germany in 1997. She was by Concensus (Monogramm x Opalesce) and out of Focus Gabriella (Focus Shali x Focus Alianna). At the age of twelve, Gamilla was named Senior Female Champion at Arabica in Germany in 2009.
Her sire Concensus (Monogramm × Opalesce) was a grey stallion whose show career demonstrated the versatility of Arabian horses. In the United States, he earned championships in halter as well as in sport horse and ridden disciplines, including U.S. National Reserve Champ Stallion and U.S. Reserve National title in Show Hack. His achievements were further recognized with the Legion of Masters, followed by the Legion of Excellence of the Arabian Horse Association. The WAHO specifically described Concensus as a “multi-champion in USA in halter, sport horse and various ridden disciplines” when highlighting him among Monogramm’s significant offspring. Monogramm himself was honored with the 2006 WAHO Trophy for his influence as a sire of significance in the United States and at Michalow Stud in Poland, where his Polish offspring achieved numerous national and international championships. Concensus therefore represents an important early example of Monogramm’s ability to produce Arabian horses combining show-ring type with athleticism and versatility.
Gamilla's dam Focus Gabriella, a grey mare foaled in the United States in 1989, was bred by Loy E. and Linda D. Davidson. Her sire was Focus Shali and her dam was Focus Alianna. In 1997 Focus Gabriella was exported to Germany, where she became part of the breeding program of Medicom Arabians. Her European show career included Senior Female Championships at the Austrian International Show and International Ostbayern Schau in 2000, a Senior Female Championship at the Tulip Cup in 2006, and a second-place finish at the German National Championships in 2007. The German studbook documents her as the dam of Peleng, a stallion by Kubinec, and G-Padrons Best, a stallion by Padrons Psyche. G-Padrons Best subsequently sired Padrons Magic, out of Ambrak by Kubinec; Padrons Magic was later received the Gold Sport Horse Plaque for endurance of the German Arabian Horse Association.
Beyond these more immediate descendants, Focus Gabriella's pedigree reaches back into one of the historic female lines of American Arabian breeding. Through her dam Focus Alianna, the line runs to the celebrated mare Bint Sahara. Bint Sahara, a daughter of Farawi and Bint Sedjur, became an important foundation mare in Frank and Helen McCoy’s breeding program. Among her numerous descendants were Fadjur, Fersara, Ferzon and The Real McCoy, to mention only a few. Contemporary and historical accounts describe Bint Sahara as one of the leading broodmares in American Arabian breeding, with her descendants making a lasting contribution to the breed.
Gamilla was used as a broodmare at Medicom Arabians: According to the German studbook, Gamilla was recorded as the dam of eight recorded foals. Her offspring included Layla III and Ferid, both by FS Bengali, as well as Karrim by Peleng and Layla Bint Gamilla by Pelengs Psyche. In 2009 and 2010, she was bred to the internationally known stallion WH Justice, producing the chestnut colt Magnum M and the grey mare Gloria M, respectively. Her later recorded offspring were Gloria el Assuad, by Al Marid, born in 2013, and Gabor el Assuad, by S.M.A. Magic One, born in 2017.
