About Al Amrya
Al Amrya is a bay mare foaled in 2000. Bred by Reinhard Sax, she emerged from one of Germany’s most respected Arabian breeding programs and became both a successful show mare and a significant broodmare whose influence extends into contemporary European pedigrees.
Her sire, BJ Thee Mustafa, was bred in the United States by John and Barbara Birdsall. A son of Thee Desperado and out of Khalili El Bahar, he achieved one of the most distinguished international show records of the late 1990s. In 1998 he captured the Senior Male Championships at the All Nations Cup, the European Championships, and the World Championships, a sequence that firmly established him among the leading stallions of his generation. Exported to Italy, he became an influential breeding stallion at Fontanella Arabians. Through his daughter Mayana, he can be found in the pedigree of HDB Sihr Ibn Massai, who became European Bronze Champion Colt in 2009 and Brazilian National Champion Stallion in 2013.
Al Amrya’s dam, Kruschinka, introduced an equally important maternal foundation. A chestnut Straight Russian mare by World Champion Stallion Kubinec and out of Menascha by Menes, Kruschinka was herself bred at Sax Arabians, making Al Amrya a second-generation product of the program. The mare produced twelve registered foals in the German studbook and belonged to a highly accomplished maternal family. Kruschinka was a half-sister to Essteema, widely recognized as the first mare to achieve the European Triple Crown, as well as to Esstashan and Madeira, the latter becoming an important broodmare at Darius Arabians.
On the halter show circuit, Al Amrya proved successful in the show ring in her own right. As a yearling she was named Junior Female Champion at the German National Championships in 2001. Several years later she returned to the same arena to earn the title of Senior Female Reserve Champion at the German Nationals in 2008.
Her greater significance, however, lies in her production record. Al Amrya was the dam of 14 registered foals in Germany, several of whom became successful show and breeding horses. Among her most successful daughters was Amyra Bint Khidar, who won the Junior Female Gold Championship at the German Nationals in 2009.
Al Amrya's firstborn daughter, Magic Mon Amour, developed into a champion-producing broodmare. Magic Mon Amour's full-brother Magic Mon Tresor (both by Windsprees Mirage) is also a proven sire at Fontanella Arabians.
The influence of Al Amrya expanded further through her grandson Magic Magnifique, foaled in 2009 out of Magic Mon Amour. He achieved major titles including Junior Male Gold Champion at the Italian Nationals in 2010 and Junior Male Bronze Champion at the Norway International Championship in 2012. Through him, the family entered another generation of international prominence. Magic Magnifique influence is now being continued by his son LF Aarmaan Vittorio (x LF Aliyyah Vivendi), who has recently commenced his breeding career in Europe.
This continuity became particularly evident with Al Amrya’s great-grandson WF Gawin, foaled in 2020. WF Gawin secured the title of Male Yearling Gold Champion Colt at the European Championships in 2021 and later earned Bronze Champion honors in the yearling colt division at Menton the same year.
Another promising son of Al Amrya is AJ Yas (2017), a black stallion by AJ Mardan, who is now producing another generation of Al Amrya descendants.
While Al Amrya's pedigree united internationally influential sires with proven Russian maternal blood, her long-term value can be measured most clearly through the consistency of her descendants. Across three generations, her family has continued to produce horses capable of competing successfully at national and international levels, securing Al Amrya’s place as a meaningful contributor to modern European Arabian breeding history.
