Nurabid
Bred and raised at Marbach, the bay stallion Nurabid reflected the stud’s long-standing commitment to preserving classical Arabian type while maintaining functional conformation and soundness. He was state tested in 2001.
Nurabid was sired by Serenity Habib (1983–2013), a stallion bred by Serenity Farms in the United States and exported to Europe in 1993. Serenity Habib was by Khofo, the grey Egyptian stallion imported from Egypt and a direct descendant of Morafic, one of the most influential sires of the modern Egyptian Arabian. Khofo was renowned for transmitting correct structure, classic head type, and a calm, cooperative disposition.
Serenity Habib’s dam, SF Bint Mamlouka, by Mashhour, was an Egyptian import of notable elegance and balance. Both Khofo and SF Bint Mamlouka became foundation horses at Serenity Farms.
At Marbach, Serenity Habib exerted a lasting influence, particularly as a broodmare sire. Among his daughters were Dukna and Maaza, both of which became highly important to the Marbach breeding program. Dukna produced the stallion Dschehim, while Maaza became the dam of Musab; both sons later served as chief sires at Marbach, extending Serenity Habib’s genetic contribution well beyond his direct offspring. The mare Naga, another daughter, further reinforced his value within the program.

Nurabid’s dam, Naima, was bred at Marbach. She was sired by the German Elite Stallion Mohafez, by Ibn Moniet El Nefous and out of Ahroufa. The bay Naima was Straight Egyptian, incorporating Babson blood through Ahroufa by Ibn Fa-Serr.
Naima’s dam, Nyaba, was by the German Elite Stallion Gharib and out of Nadja. Both Gharib and Nadja were imported from El Zahraa, Egypt, directly linking Nurabid’s maternal line to Egypt’s national breeding program. This dam line reinforced traits such as substance, correct limbs, and genetic continuity, complementing the refinement and classical expression found in the sire line.

Nurabid sired nine foals in total: five bred for Marbach, including one filly, and four for private breeders. None of his offspring were retained within the Marbach breeding herd. His last daughter, an Anglo Arab filly, was registered in 2004.
