Bred and owned by Mike Ashmore in the UK, the exotic flea-bitten grey mare MA Bint Azadik had an interesting pedigree. Born in 1997, her sire was Om El Azadik who combined Egyptian/Spanish with Russian lines. Bred by Om El Arab International, he carried the legacy of world-renowned bloodlines, including the influential sire El Shaklan. His expressive eyes, refined head, and balanced conformation made him a standout in the show ring and a valuable sire. He was awarded World Junior Reserve Champion Colt in 1990 and Junior Reserve Champion Colt at the European Championships in 1991. Besides MA Bint Azadik, Om El Azadik was sire of Nava Ibn El Azz, a regional show champion in Italy and sire of Libanon Azadika who was the maternal grand-dam of international multi-champion Shanghai EA.
In 1995, Om El Azadik was sold from UK to Middle East.
Additionally to her sire's Egyptian/Spanish/Russian pedigree, Bint Azadik's dam Om El Sabiya Estopa was sired by Carmargue who combined Crabbet and Polish bloodlines. This lovely grey stallion was a born in the UK and later exported to Spain where he went Spanish National Champion Stallion in 1986 following his success at the World Championships in 1995. He was awarded World Champion Stallion that year. As a sire, Carmargue introduced a fresh branch to the Skowronek sire line through his sire Naziri, renowned for his exceptional beauty and refinement. Carmargue's progeny inherited his elegance and gentle temperament, with notable offspring including Spanish National Champion Rawalpyndi, World Reserve Senior Champion Stallion Om El Abadan and British National Champion Stallion Ali Khamsin, all of whom achieved international recognition. He was also an excellent broodmare sire. Camargue died in 2004.
Through her bay dam, MA Bint Azadik is a great-granddaughter out of the legendary Spanish matriarch Estopa.
His granddaughter MA Bint Azadik was shown several times. Her most successful year was in 2010 when she won Senior Championships for Mares at Towerlands and was Top 5 at Aachen's All Nations Cup.
She also was a good broodmare by producing 11 registered foals, 5 fillies and 6 colts. Her son Giacomo won Belgian Nationals as gelding in 2015 and her 2010 born daughter Sadeem Athabh was Middle East Gold Champion filly in 2011.
